South West Animal Rescue Inc. operates entirely on volunteers. We are always seeking and welcoming people who are interested in the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of abandoned domestic animals. From foster caring to fundraising, attending meetings and markets, SWAR has a role for you:

 

 

 

 

 

Membership - For only $25 per year you'll be providing SWAR with much needed funds and receive a quarterly members newsletter. Click here to download an application form.

 

Foster Carers - Caring for animals in your own home until they are ready for re-homing. This is a fantastic way to assist and a perfect way to have the love and enjoyment from a dog, cat, puppy, kitten or even rabbit, without taking on the lifetime responsibility. SWAR provides all vet work and where possible, food donations. You just need to open up your heart and home to one of our loving animals.

 

Volunteers - Many volunteer roles are available. Our committee meets on a monthly basis and makes decisions on the direct of SWAR and other matters. Guests are always welcome and there is no pressure to join, we just like to see new faces! Our volunteers assist at market days around Bunbury - perfect if you love to talk as people are always interested in finding out what we do. Perhaps you enjoy baking? SWAR volunteers bake dog biscuits to assist with fundraising. The list is endless, but we need volunteers to continue and support the abandoned domestic animal in the South West.


Financial Donations - South West Animal Rescue Inc. is eternally grateful for donations to our rescue group, big or small - it all helps to reduce the number of abandoned domestic animals being euthanased. If you would like to make a donation to SWAR Inc please:

Collection Tins - Do you have a small business where we can place a donation tin on the counter? Please call 0420 828 040 or email info@southwestanimalrescue.com to arrange delivery of a tin.

 

Pet Food Donations - If you would like to make donations of pet food (dog and cat tinned food and dry food), kitty litter, pet treats and toys, you will now find green donation bins (courtesy of Bunbury City Council) at PICTON PRODUCE, HARRADINES VETERINARY CLINIC and MANEA SENIOR COLLEGE FRONT FOYER. We have a collection basket outside JANNY'S CAFE in the Stirling Centre.
